Hanoi, 28/09/2013 – On September 28th, National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam – NOIP (under the Ministry of Science and Technology) held an evaluation workshop to review the results from implemented assignment “investigate, survey, and evaluate a number of outstanding projects under the support program for intellectual asset development period 2005-2010”. Participants joining the workshop included MCG’s Consultants led by Ms. Pham Ngoc Linh and Result Evaluation Council, which was formed according to Decision No 2407/QD-SHTT, headed by Chairman- Dr. Pham Van Mach. MCG was contracted by NOIP to conduct the investigation, survey, and evaluation of four (04) projects namely tea (Thai Nguyen), Star Aniseed (Lang Son), dragon fruit (Binh Thuan), and fish sauces (Phu Quoc) from January to September, 2013 and submitted four reports to the Council in late September. After the presentation on the evaluation results in all targeted provinces delivered by Consultants, Council members gave comments on the report, as well as listened to Consultants’ explanation and interpretation. Consequently, “Excellent” was given to the MCG’s assignment results based on consensus agreement among Council members although there were still some shortcomings to be improved. It is expected that the Consultant will finalise final reports and submit to NOIP next October to serve as input material in the Office’s presentation to Ministry of Science and Technology.
